Regular classes with the Kanimambo group from the TocArt school
In La Verneda, Barcelona 👉 Location
In Kanimambo's batucada group classes, you'll learn rhythms like samba-reggae, samba enredo, samba funk , and other Brazilian percussion styles in a dynamic and fun way. It's the perfect place to start or refine your technique while connecting with people who share your passion for music and the energy of batucada.
During the sessions we will work on:

Specific instrument technique such as surdos, snare drum, timbao, repique ...

Musical language of the batucada and understanding of rhythmic patterns.

Repertoire and songs of the group Kanimambo.

Choreography, group dynamics and staging.
Furthermore, being part of Kanimambo means experiencing much more than just classes. Throughout the year, we organize performances, dress rehearsals, weekend outings, school festivals, and immersive trips to countries like Senegal and Brazil, where you can delve deeper into the culture and rhythms that inspire us.

At the beginner level you start from 0. Intermediate and advanced level is for people with knowledge of the instrument
