FLAMENCO IBERIC PERCUSSION
AT 'TOCART SCHOOL' IN LA VERNEDA, BARCELONA
In the Iberian Peninsula there are a large number of percussion instruments.
Most of these instruments have normally been played separately, with the function of accompanying singing or dancing.
In this course, work has been done to bring them together and offer their own language inspired by traditional rhythms.
In the classes regularWe will learn songs from the traditional folkloric heritage and traditional Iberian rhythms such as the ajechao, the sorteao or the maragato corrido. And we will learn to play various instruments such as the pestle, the frying pan, the tambourine, the square tambourine with a baton...

At the Tocart school, we offer a quarterly weekend stage, in a rural environment, where we get together and share with students from different disciplines (batucada, African percussion, flamenco cajón, Iberian percussion and Brazilian music combo).
Where we carry out different percussion activities, among others.
